worth reinstalling? - Guild Wars Forums

yo i got the game today and i still use the beta client. I got the standard 2 disc insall. Is it worth it to reinstall guildwars from the retail discs?

Yes, it is good idea to use the discs, because there is alot of new content on the cd's. you dont have to un-install it though.

Anyone know if the collector's edition has anything different than the regular as far as I would need to reinstall with it? I'm still running off the downloadable client.

Collectors doesnt have anything different then regular from what I know of. but as i said earlier it is a good idea to install from the discs.

when u reinstall all your characters are still there right? your guys are stored in the server, so my guy won't be wiped? I'm getting the retail tomorrow and would appreciate the info

Correct, all your information is stored server-side, so reinstalling won't wipe anything. However, if you've taken screenshots that you intend to keep, it might not be a bad idea to move the screenshot folder elsewhere on your computer temporarily so you don't lose them upon reinstallation.
